• We recommend you to take a backup of the data in your phone. After installing the ROM, all the files and data will be deleted.

• SMS – Backup Messages
• Contacts – Sync with Gmail App
• Videos, Images, Songs and Other Files – Copy to internal / External SD card or System
• APN Settings – Take Manual Note from “Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

• Then maintain minimum 60% charge in your phone’s battery. This will help you to don’t get switched of your phone.
• And disable any antivirus and firewalls too.

HOW TO INSTALL MONOCHROMATIC WINDOWS 8 ROM ON SAMSUNG GALAXY Y:

So if you have a Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge then you can follow this method.

Before this you must know what is the model number of your Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge as this method supports these following models. So check the list and make sure your device comes in the list.

• Download no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip

• Download ODIN zip

• Download TWRP Recovery for Galaxy S7

• Download TWRP Recovery for Galaxy S7 Edge

B. Enable Developer Option and OEM Unlock

1. Go to Settings->About phone and find out your model number of S7 or S7 Edge. Check whether its listed in the above list
2. Now tap on “Software info” then tap on “Build number” about 7 times until it says, “Developer mode has been turned on”.
3. Again go to Settings, now you will see Developer Option, just tap on it
4. Enable the “OEM unlock” 

C. Install Samsung Kies or Driver

Install the Samsung Kies and restart your PC, then connect your Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge with USB cable. It will configure driver automatically.

D. Install TWRP Recovery On Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge

1. Power off your device. Now press and hold down Volume Down + Home + Power buttons together for about 5 seconds until you get this warning screen like below:

 

1. Once you get this screen just release all the three buttons, now hit Vol UP button to go into ODIN Download mode
2. Connect your device to PC via USB cable.
3. Unzip the Odin.Zip, and you will get Odin.exe inside this. Just run as administrator.
4. You will see that first box under ID:COM in Odin is shaded blue with random COM number. If it’s showing mean driver properly installed otherwise install again.

1. Click on AP and browse TWRP Recovery file
2. Now click on the Start button on Odin
3. It will few seconds, once its done, you will see green Pass like this

 

 

1. Now exit Odin and disconnect your Phone and switch it on

E. Transfer file from PC to Phone

1. Connect your phone to PC via USB Cable
2. Now copy paste the SuperSu.zip and no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip files from your PC to phone’s memory.

F. Root Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge by flashing SuperSu

1. Switch off your device (You will feel a vibration mean completely switched off)
2. Now press and hold Power+Volume Up+ Home button simultaneously until it boot up and show teamwin
3. Then Swipe to allow modification
4. Now tap on Install then browse and tap on the “no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip” file. Now just swipe to install.
5. Once its done, again tap on install then browse and tap on BETA SuperSU zip file and swipe to install.
6. It will take few seconds to flash. Once done tap on Reboot system
7. Your Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge has been rooted.

To check whether your Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge has root access or not, just go to Google Play store and install Root Checker and run it.
