After 22062 update i can't cast anything to my chromecast. the device is now useless.. Ran the chromecast app, it found the chromecast, set up the chromecast to use this no internet network by selecting it & typing in the router's password. after setting up the chromecast, the app shows the firmware version as being 12072..
It's now about 4 weeks since jacky's release posting and i don't have the 17250 firmware yet for my uk chromecast. the lack of a release entry on the google chrome releases blog and the netflix issue makes me wonder if the update's been pulled?. Prep your chromecast. make sure your chromecast is turned on and duly configured. it should be on the same network that your computer is. if you use a vpn on your computer, disable it when forcing the update. also, it’s a good idea to check if there is actually an update available for chromecast or not before you proceed.. Chromecast is still considered a beta product, and so is the firmware running on it. i've tried forced updating myself but no dice, however, i'm not worried about it because i haven't had any issues. it's only been getting better for me..
